We are Phil & Jenny and together with our daughter Kristy are your new The Good Knights Team, and can we say we are so excited to be here.
HERE’S A LITTLE ABOUT US…
OUR EARLY DAYS…
Phil spent 33 years working in the Banking Industry and Jenny enjoyed many working years in Pharmacy, Optometry and then moved into Hotel/Motel Front Office Reception where she fell in love with the idea of “maybe one day” entering into the Accommodation Industry in a different way. Our Daughter Kristy, worked in the corporate world for 12+ years in Technology and Project Management roles and she has more recently dabbled in the entrepreneurial space.
OUR NEXT NEW LIFE CHAPTER BEGINS & CONTINUES…
Some 20+ years ago Phil & I decided to have a career & lifestyle change and we entered this fabulous “Accommodation World “. Owning 2 of our own Management Rights in QLD, we really enjoyed this new industry and then we had the opportunity to purchase a new development Management Rights in Newcastle…this was a huge challenge which we thoroughly enjoyed. We spent 7 years building our amazing business before selling in 2018 to spend more time with our beautiful daughters and grandchildren. Whilst we enjoyed our little break, we were still looking for the next adventure and that’s when we started looking to do some Motel / Management Rights Relief work. We felt we really had a good understanding of how very important it was for motel owners to have a break and then how equally important it was (but hard) to find good, honest and reliable relief managers to step in and allow that much needed break to happen.
While spending some time on the road travelling, staying in some beautiful country motels, and having many chats with lovely motel owners or relief managers we decided this was what we would like to do, believing we had the experience and knowledge of both sides of The Good Knights that being the motel owners and the relief managers. We knew how important it was to help Motel Owners find special Relief Managers who can step into their business and run it well so the owners can have a well deserved break, knowing their business is in good hands.
It was at a quaint little motel in Armidale that we were introduced to the lovely Julia & Brian and “The Good Knights”. During our time as relief managers through The Good Knights we worked very closely with Julia and Brian and had many fun chats about this amazing Industry, when one day the conversation arose and the question asked “would you ever sell your business…..” Fast forward to today, we now have the absolute pleasure of saying we are the proud owners of “The Good Knights” and we are so excited to continue Julia & Brian’s journey in running such a successful business they spent so many years building it to be what it is today. Kristy was excited by the career change opportunity when we posed the idea to her, as she has always had a keen interest in the Accommodation Industry. She was really happy to be joining us (Mum & Dad!!) as we took on The Good Knights adventure. We are very lucky to have her support & dedication and she is a very important part of our team doing an amazing job behind the scenes.
Our aim will always be to provide our wonderful team of Motel Owners with fantastic Good Knight Relief Managers who are experienced in Motel (including Management Rights) and Caravan Park Relief Management. We will always support each and everyone of you with our professionalism and your best interests at heart. We are only a phone call or email away.
